This was interesting stuff, and written in a simple, easy to follow way, with minimal extra verbiage. The big take-away message I got was that any time your app does something that violates user expectations, it becomes less usable. The secondary message is that you can use various bits of design to help set up those expectations (for example, tabs for sections of a web site).

This would be a great first usability book for any programmer, since it's so simple and short. I think I need to re-read it, though, since it is so easy to read.
